There is deep division in
the church body concerning beliefs relating to God’s Blessings
for man. I want to set it straight right here. The problem is
not that there is no scripture describing God’s blessing. The
scriptures are there. The problem is belief and disbelief based
on the fact that no man has been abundantly blessed by God in
modern times.
There is a popular thought process that goes on
among Christians that contains an unspoken statement: “If God
was going to bless anybody, it would surely be me.” Believers
like to believe that they are exactly where God wants them to
be spiritually; They have spent hours on Bible study. They attend
church and tithe. They sing in the choir or serve as ushers.
They pray often. They do all these things, so they MUST be where
God wants them to be. So, if God was going to bless anybody
it would have to be them. That is their mindset.
But, the last person God blessed abundantly was
Solomon. That is how God blesses. God’s blessing include the
virtual keys to the Kingdom, favor in everything you do, perfect
Health, and incredible spiritual gifts. That is how God blesses.
But, why haven’t we seen that?
There is a movement in the Christian church called
Word of Faith or WOF. They follow a doctrine called “name it
and claim it”. Their belief is that faith is all it takes to
be blessed by God. They have yet to be blessed. NONE of them
have been blessed by God as he blesses. They do not have all
the ingredients. Faith only opens the door for blessing.
So, let’s look at Solomon – why was he blessed?
He was blessed because of his love, sacrifice and dedication
to his/God’s people. God saw into his heart and what he saw
was a true, REAL love. Not just saying it. Not just thinking
it. The love was embedded in his soul. It was total dedication
to serving his people and God.
Here is a problem with many Christians. They say
love, they think love, but they don’t really feel love. And
what God does is he looks inside. He looks at motivation. If
you are being kind because it is what Christians are supposed
to do, that isn’t good enough. If you are acting like Christ
because it is what Christians are supposed to do, that’s not
good enough! Your motivation MUST be deep set love. And when
you have it, you are ready to be blessed by God.
The question is: How do you get that kind of deep-set
love? You get it thru a spiritual closeness to God. By “spiritual
closeness” I mean a daily/hourly spiritual relationship with
God, outside of, above and beyond scripture. You can not have
a relationship with God thru scripture alone. It is impossible
and is a fantasy. God is in spirit, and you must step into a
spiritual realm in order to find him. Prayer gives you communication
with God. But prayer alone is not a relationship. If you child
only prayed to you, would you call that a relationship? The
kind of relationship God wants is to share every aspect of your
lives – daily/hourly. He wants you thinking about him and talking
to him often throughout every day. When you are thinking about
him, your spiritual ears are open. And, thru that you will begin
to share his nature. The result will be you won’t have to act
like Jesus because you will BE like Jesus – filled with love.
When you are filled with godly love, only then
will God bless you abundantly. This is how he will bless you:
Favor in every aspect of your life, Perfect health for you and
your family, Financial wealth that will allow you to be a blessing
to many, incredible spiritual gifts.
God will not bless a carnal believer. Get spiritual.
Start you spiritual growth today. Growing spiritually means
you are becoming a member of God’s family. Isn’t that what you
want? Don’t wait. God’s blessing is coming, and you could miss
it.
